Blue Spiral / work for future exhibit

The first 8 works in this gallery are mixed media and acrylic on wood panel. The next four are mixed media on paper. Other than the ones called “Coming Up For Air,” none have definite titles yet.

All use plant materials and animal imagery. A title for a future exhibit could be “Bestiary” or it could be the title of the turtle paintings, “Coming Up For Air,” or maybe you’ll have an idea for a show that might include these works.

This is a private page on my website for you to view and consider for a future exhibit. I have other paintings in the making, some larger, others the same size, and ideas for stand-alone book-type paintings.

I also have the series of drawings I sent previously from the “Literary Field Guide to Southern Appalachia,” which was supposed to come out in 2018 but is still not in print (they’re saying fall of 2019). I’ve shown a detail of the painting “Landfill” because it shows you the books open. They are kept open with a magnet embedded in the paper and set into the panel.
