Gwendolyn Ridge Wanderings

When my friends bought a huge tract of land between Bristol and Abingdon, Virginia, they generously welcomed me to take sketching trips there. She named it “Gwendolyn Ridge,” after her nature-loving grandmother. Since 2016 I’ve roamed this hilly upland, with particular attention to a few little ponds on the property. Here’s a sampling of my observations.
